The Town of Mammoth Lakes Tourism and Recreation Commission has been working on this issue and trying to reach a solution that would satisfy both bike riders and skateboarders. However, after extensive consultation with the Town’s insurance authority regarding potential for joint use, it was determined that there were no valid options for pursuing the joint use idea.

The San Mateo-Foster City School District is looking at Boothbay Park as a potential site for a new elementary school. School officials say the additional school is needed to alleviate overcrowding, but some residents and city officials are not convinced that there aren’t other ways to deal with enrollment increases.
